Typhoo Basin Project

25th July

Gavin Rogers will be showing real life and digital performance and artwork with the CLUSTER BOMB [collective] – ‘TYPHOO BASIN’

Take an immersive, interactive and surreal walk inspired by the Typhoo Tea factory in Digbeth, part of the former industrial ‘backbone’ of Birmingham, and former British Ceylon tea plantations.

Using augmented reality and smartphone technology, audiences will be guided around the streets and canal-sides, encountering live performers and unlocking hidden digital windows, to reveal a fragmented narrative set across Birmingham and former Ceylon, now present day Sri Lanka.

Find our Tea Room Tent at the Warwick Bar Fete for further information.
Please bring a 3G/4G smartphone to download the free TYPHOO BASIN smartphone app to unlock the digital windows. Headphones can be provided upon the deposit of one form of identification e.g. passport or driving license.
