A shed or garage is a place to escape to, a place to break, mend, fix, create, invent, destroy, reflect, store, procrastinate and get lost in the physical, emotional and spiritual place of play.

My Grandad was a great man, very practical, hardworking and inventive. He clocked ‘on and off’ from his shed, almost everyday until he died at the age of 89.
This set of image stills from a digital video I made is a tribute to him. It attempts to capture the stillness of loss alongside the memory of performance, performance of an everyday kind – juxtaposed through a series of objects and internal environments.
